1.Neighbour Helping
Neighbour
On the night of 4.12.2001 at around 2.30
am, our Night Watch members ( Casey Wong, Andy Chin and Kenneth Chua)
whilst doing their ronda , came across a house along USJ23/5B, with the
main door opened. Subsequently they heard a voice, coming from the
house, asking for help. Our NW members managed to bring this resident to
his bed, and ensuring everything is OK, they then left him. Ladies and
gentlemen, who says NW duty is not worth doing, perhaps they have
saved a life. Those residents who are still not members or are continuous
absent from their NW duty, we appeal to you to come forward and join
us.

USJ23 Residents Concerns & Projects
in Progress:
* Good news -- at last the flyover leading /out of
USJ23 is open to traffic. However we appeal to residents to drive
with care when going out and coming into USJ23.
* Sound barrier walk along USJ23/3 in progress, thanks
to Khor Seik Choon`s excellent efforts to pursue this concern.
* Narrow slip road leading to USJ23.You can now see that the relevant parties
concern have taken action to rectify it. Thanks to Robert Chan for
highlighting it, and Mr. Dharmender Singh ,for featuring it in The
Star Metro.
* The Land Office have informed our committee through a fax, that the Quarry's
operating hours have being reduced. However on the night of 29/11/2001
at about 7.00pm.to 7.30 pm, 2 big blasts were heard by residents of
USJ23 and USJ26. A Police Report was immediately lodged on this
'illegal' operation.
The
committee is continuing pursuing this matter, since then the quarry
have being operating within their permitted operating hours.
9. USJ23 Neighbourhood Night Watch
We
noted that during the 24 hours security days - the participation from
Night Watch members was below expectation, this we can quite
understand. However as from 27/12/2001 we are back to the 12 hours
security, therefore we
strongly urged all night watch members to come out and do your duty.
There have being some absentees. Be more committed. You are doing your
part, to ensure the safety of our families.
10. USJ23 Security Services:
We have terminated the security services of TSS Security Sdn. Bhd. as
from 31/12/2001, due to unsatisfactory performance of their security
guards. Effective 01/01/2002, 2 new security guards will be provided
by Foss Secure Services .Their contact man is C. S. Guna, Operation
Manager (Handphone: 012-6774140).The barrier (located along USJ23/3C) will be put down from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, to ensure that
tighter security is enforced, as requested by residents from Monday to
Sunday. We therefore seek all residents full understanding and
co-operation to this security measure taken. This action taken was due to the
recent spate of break-ins in other USJ areas. Contribution for January
2002 is RM 40.00
per household.
