Dear USJ 23 residents,

1. USJ 23 U-TURN
   Effective from 12-04-2003, the U-Turn at USJ 23 has been officially closed. We were previously informed by Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya (MPSJ) Engineering Department that the said U-Turn has to be closed as the vehicles coming down from the Trumpet Flyover are too fast and it is not suitable for USJ 23 residents to make a U-Turn at the exit. Under such circumstances, USJ 23 residents are required to travel further down to the U-Turn at USJ 23 secondary school. USJ 23 residents are requested TO BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN MAKING THE U-TURN AT USJ 23 SCHOOL AS THE VEHICLES COMING FROM PUTRA HEIGHTS ARE USUALLY TRAVELLING AT VERY HIGH SPEED.
    

2.  BREAK-IN ON 5-04-2003
   There was a break-in happened on 5-04-2003 along USJ 23/3A, an expensive watch was stolen but other expensive items such as jewelry was intake. Though we have classified the break-in as a ‘probable case’, we still have to be vigilant and careful. If any of you see any suspicious person wandering around, please call the guard immediately.    In view of the aforesaid break-in, we have requested the guard to tighten the security measures such as proper recording of all residents and non-residents who come to our housing area. However, we regret that there is a handful of residents who refused to co-operate with us. A resident has gone to the extend of confronting the guard when her relatives were requested to record down their particulars. Notwithstanding the aforesaid isolated incident, we believe the majority of us amounting to approximately 90% of the USJ 23 residents are supporting us and we will continue with the same tight security measures.
    

3. GUARDHOUSE
   It is time for us to build a proper guardhouse with toilet facility and if possible, we may install an electronic operated barricade. The estimated costs of a proper guardhouse measuring 20’ x 15’ and the electronic operated barricade is approximately RM23,000.00 (Guardhouse - RM18,000.00 & Barricade – RM5,000.00 = RM23,000.00). The Committee has decided that the residents who are staying in the intermediate house will contribute a minimum of RM150.00 and the residents who staying in  the corner house will contribute a minimum of RM200.00. However, all residents are encourage to donate any amount in excess of the said minimum amount.

4. USJ 23 OFFICIAL RECEIPTS
   Effective from 1st April 2003, all bi-monthly security contribution will be issued with USJ 23 official receipts. The same official receipt will also be issued for all the contribution towards the contribution of guardhouse.
    

5. ANNUAL GET-TOGETHER - 14-06-2003 – 7.30P.M.
   Our Annual Get-Together and the ribbon cutting ceremony for our new guardhouse has been tentatively fixed on 14-06-2003.
