06-11-2003
- There were 3 break-ins this morning and 1 attempted break-in along
USJ23/3A and USJ23/5A. Residents are advised to be extra careful during
these festive periods as the thieves will be working at their hardest to
get rich at your expense, don't become a victim, take all necessary
precautions. We will beef-up our security, however as you can see even the
backlane gates, security guards are insufficient to dither these people.

Case 2
Break-in - Corner House along USJ23/5A immediately opposite
house in Case 1 (house did not have alarm system)
House owner awoke in the morning to find that the guest room located
downstairs was broken into. The thief apparently scaled the garden fence
got into the compound, used an object to pry open the glass windows, once
that was open, he used brute force to push the grille into the room. The
Indonesia maid said she heard a loud noise in the night, but was too
afraid to check what was going on.
Cash of about RM800.00 was taken, including a digital camera which the
owner had bought less than a week ago worth RM1400.00 and a
handphone. The thief was not interested in Credit Cards.
Upon further investigation, we discover
that the burglar operated barefooted, climbing over the garden fence. he
even had time to sort out what he wanted in the room. He left the same way
he came in throwing away the knife he used to pry open the window. |

Case 3
Break-in - Link House along USJ23/3A (house did not have alarm
system)
House owner's sister awoke in the morning to find that the backroom downstairs which
doubles as a study and business center was ransacked.
A total of RM500.00
was found missing including a few handphones which the house owner's wife uses for
business.
The thief gained access into the house by climbing over the backlane
gates, scaling the back wall of the house and had easy entry into the
house which was only protected by a glass sliding door, without grilles.
The thief probably sat on the chair go through the things on the table, he even had time to carry a
brief case out into the void area behind
the house and the back wall to check it out. |

Case 4
Break-in - Link House along USJ23/3A next to the house in
Case 3 (house did not have alarm
system)
House owner was away during the incident, he arrived home on the evening
of 06/11/2003, to discover that the house was broken into from the
backlane.
Nothing was taken except some clothing, as such house owner was not
willing to make a Police Report.
The thief was doing the needful after climbing the backlane gate
and breaking into the house next door. Did not really make the effort to
take anything, as this house was empty at the time he broke in. |
